Our Why
My name is Ronda Edgerton, a co-founder of Legacy Support Alliance. As a young adult, my experiences and involvement with AmeriCorps exposed me to the harsh realities faced by vulnerable populations. However, it was witnessing the struggles of grandparents like my beloved Auntie Kitty (known to friends and family as Miss Kitty) that truly ignited my passion for making a difference. Seeing her selflessly raise multiple generations of grandchildren, usually without adequate support, inspired me to establish the Legacy Support Alliance.
Our nonprofit aims to provide assistance and resources to grandparents facing similar challenges, ensuring they receive the support they deserve on their journey of raising grandchildren.
